7 Frequently Asked Questions
1. When is the best time to reach out?
Nashville is a very hot market! Meaning that weekend dates and holidays get booked months in advance. The sweet spot to submit your inquiry is 3-5 weeks before your desired event date. For large gatherings like weddings, I suggest reaching out at least 4-6 months beforehand to establish venue-specific logistics.
I understand that these timeframes are not always possible, so feel free to reach out anytime! However, the latest that I can accept an inquiry is 7 days prior to your desired event date.
2. How long does the booking process take?
From the inquiry being made to the contract being sent usually takes about 1 week.
3. Do you require a deposit?
I do require a non-refundable deposit equal to 30% of the event's total costs. I do not have requirements as to when this deposit is due, however, out of respect to our time, my team and I cannot hold your date until a deposit has been submitted. It's just business baby 🤷🏾♂️
A good rule of thumb is to pay the deposit within a few days upon the receipt of your contract, and the remaining balance 5-10 days prior to your event date. Weddings and large events can be paid in installments, and corporate or non-profit events are eligible for tax exemption.
4. Do you Travel?
I do! My most commonly visited cities are Clarksville, TN (1 hour), Gatlinburg, TN (3 hours), and Birmingham, AL (3 hours). Travel arrangements do incur a reasonable upcharge and will be discussed during the booking process.
5. Do you cook in AirBnb's?
Yes! We do not, however, cook inside of hotel rooms.
6. Do I need to provide any food or equipment?
Hardly! Your job is to sit back and enjoy the experience. The only thing that I ask of my clients is to have a moderately clean kitchen upon arrival. If your booking is taking place in an Airbnb, it is best to confirm that the kitchen is stocked with cleaning essentials and that all appliances function properly. You will NOT be asked to provide any ingredients for any service.
7. How does the day of my event flow?
This largely depends on the type of booking and will be clarified throughout the booking process. On a standard basis, I and any necessary team members will arrive at your address about 2 hours before serving time with coolers, insulated bags, and prepped ingredients for your menu. We will spend the next hour or so setting the table, conversing with guests, and cooking your courses to order! After the meal is completed we will handle 100% of the cleanup and leave your kitchen even better than we found it.
